Front Row Seats is the pseudonym of Irish musician and producer Christopher Cole (aka Chris Comhaill). Following his time playing in funk, soul and blues bands on the Dublin music scene, alongside his academic studies in jazz and contemporary music at third level (in BIMM Dublin and Dublin City University) and his love of hip-hop, lofi and RnB, Chris wanted to compose and produce music in these varied styles. Chris composes, arranges and records much of the Front Row Seats repertoire autonomously in his home studio but also loves using the project to get the opportunity to collaborate with international rappers, singers and other instrumentalists.
Chris’ debut single as Front Row Seats, titled ‘Golden Ticket’, was released on 15.08.22 and was met with critical acclaim. This was followed up by a second single, ‘On My Mind’ which debuted in September 2022 and which received heavy play-listing along with radio-play and positive reviews from critics. A third single ‘Pop Quiz’ featured a collaboration with US based keyboardist Jonah Malcom.
Chris is currently developing material in his home studio with the intention of starting work on the debut Front Row Seats EP.
‘On my mind’ music video
Front Row Seats’ second single ‘On My Mind’ was released on 26.09.22 and was premiered on the Spotify editorial playlist “New Music Friday” with an audience of almost 1 million followers. The live video from the recording of the single was filmed at Temple Lane Studios, Dublin. It was featured by Hot Press and amassed over 10k views in it’s first weeks of release. It captures the energy and passion poured into the creation of this song.
